Christmas boost for cancer research
The life-saving work of the Cancer Council in NSW and Queensland will this year benefit from the annual RTCA Christmas donation.
RTCA has decided to donate the money it would have spent on Christmas cards and postage to the Cancer Councils in both states. Stakeholders this year will instead receive electronic Christmas cards from RTCA.
The donation to a charity / not-for-profit group is an initiative that has run for many years within RTCA and involves all operations and the Brisbane office. This year managing director Bill Champion has sought to boost the contribution from the corporate office and round out the total donation to $20,000.
“The Cancer Council does great work in our communities. RTCA’s workforce regularly takes part at an operational and individual level to raise money for cancer research, so we are pleased to have an opportunity to support this important focus of our employees,” Bill said.
In the past few years the RTCA Christmas donation has assisted groups such as the State Emergency Service, Driver Reviver and St Vincent De Paul.
